“From The Pastor’s Heart”

            Greetings Freedom Family,

I just love this time of the year. Spring time is a time that reflects new things.  All around us we can observe new grass, new flowers, the singing of new baby birds, new baby cows (ha) new life!  That is what Easter brings to us New Life! The Resurrection of Christ gives all of us a great feeling of security and hope.  Because Jesus lives we may live also.

The mere fact that God gave his very best, his only begotten Son to die for us, so that we may live forever, moves us.   John 3:16-    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Lord led the way in giving.  Spring time is the time of year with excitement and anticipation that we really focus on what the Bible says about stewardship.  Mal 3: 8-12

I am really excited about all that we have going on at Freedom.  You have been so generous in all areas of ministry.  Our Passion Play that was put on a few weeks ago was so amazing.  The unselfish desires of a cast of over 60 folks brought worship into the picture, the prayers and petitions from all of our Church Family brought in a bunch of family and friends and as a result many souls were saved!!!   Thank You Jesus!  Other ministries are booming with passion like never before. Our Wednesday night’s at Freedom Rock- Word of Life Student Ministries, Youth Student Ministries, Drama Teams, Meal Ministry and Christian Life University, are exploding with life and excitement.  New Ministries are beginning like Freedom Cruisers.  New people are coming every week to our Church Worship.  The Choir will be kicking off again next week in preparation for New Music and another Christmas Musical in December.  So sign up and become a member in our Freedom Praise Choir!  Just a hint- Our Praise Bands are fixing to fire up again!   Wahoooooooooo----

Spring time also brings about new growth on our campus.  The New Restroom facility at the Pavilion area is almost finished.  Next week we will lay additional sod as we grade a field of dreams for recreation.  Extra Lighting will be installed in our outside area. Right next to the volleyball court there will be a field that they can play soccer or kickball or just sit around and praise God.  We will be assembling another portable volleyball net as well. Soon, prayerfully we will begin to pour the foundation of a future recreation center.   I’m telling you guys, I could go on and on.   Don’t forget to sign up for the free Olan Mills pictorial- Church wide directory- Coming up in a few weeks-  this gives all of us a great way to keep up and learn our Church Family.

We are beginning as well to enhance The Temple Sanctuary.  This week we will be installing beautiful trim around the Wide Screen.  Our hopes of New Carpet are just a glimpse away.  The Vision to build a balcony and new Sound Room are in the plans, so that we can reach more families and ultimately more souls for His Kingdom.  Let all the people rejoice and give the Lord the Praise! I love the fact that We Love Our Church and Our People and Our God!

As your Pastor, God has instructed me to proclaim with excitement and joy The First Sunday of May as –“The Chest of Joash Sunday”  Please study 2 Chronicles 24:1-10  A story about a King just 7 years old who petitioned the people  to fill the chest that he had made with the offerings of the people to restore the Temple! This is a very inspiring message from God.   There will be a time of worship for all of us to have an opportunity to give our offerings (this is not our tithes) and place it in the chest for the building of Gods Temple.  Church, if we can ever grasp all areas of the teachings of God with maturity and joy and not with a negative spirit, our lives will be fuller and richer and the peace of God will assure us that everything will be alright!  Mrs. Lori and I really do love you and pray for you and are excited about what the Lord has in store for you and your family.

Sincerely, with all my heart,

Pastor Darryl - Psalm 100

Daily Manna from the Net for Sunday, May 20, 2012 [Psalm 18:1-3]
I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. Psalm 18:1-3 KJV
